About the Original Artwork

This artwork was inspired by the topic of fear, I wrote a meditation about embracing the fear and this is the artwork that I visualised from it. One of the things we often forgot about fear is that it is self made and often our ego protecting us from feeling embarrassed, blocked or ashamed. We have the power to overcome any fear we want with the feeling of determination and knowledge. 

Here is a section from the meditation that I created this painting from:

"Just before the final section of the meditation you are blocked by the biggest fear rock you have ever seen. Your future self tells you to close your eyes and imagine a blue ray of light enter your mouth. You scream out all of the frustration, all of the worry until there is nothing left. You run towards the rock and watch in amazement as the rock plummets off the mountain top into a dark abyss full of all your fear and resentments." 

Created using acrylic paint, paint markers and coloured pencils.
